As I lined up on the start line for the week the Ghost of Kurt in the GPT Machine mentioned “Volume should keep the momentum flowing.” A great mantra for the rest of the running week. The second run of the week was a long speed run an unusual one, which resulted in Cyber Kurt’s observation of “I am reminded that true victory lies not in the destination, but in the journey itself.” The first recovery run of the week was an hour with Eliud Kipchoge a world famous marathoner. This run was was a completely soggy one with Eilud’s guidence and Vonnegut’s GPT words of wisdom “who knows, maybe those misty clouds whispered secrets of their own, adding a layer of mystery to your adventure.” A perfect way to describe the day. Day 4 was a speed run with the keen GPT Kurt observation “Third time through the plan, and the rhythm begins to harmonize, like a well-played symphony.” Something clicked during this run, hopefully propelling me forward in my pursuits. The long run was my personal favorite, The One Hour Run, the Ghost of Kurt mentioned “After a week of rigorous training, this #SundayRunday was the pièce de résistance, the crescendo to a symphony of exertion and determination.” The perfect observation to end this week of training.

3 Weeks To Go — Good pace minimal aches, pains, soreness and stiffness. Definitely what a recovery run should feel like. Although those March Lions are still out there. Previous week was a solid week with some PR/PBs in relation to speed and geography covered. Volume should keep the momentum flowing.

ChatGPT 3.5 in the voice of Kurt Vonnegut-Ah, three weeks remain, and the pace is good, with just the right amount of aches and pains, the echoes of March Lions still prowling. Last week was a solid endeavor, marked by personal records both in speed and the expanse of territory covered. Let the volume sustain this momentum as we stride toward our goal.

Long & Strong & Fast — Hour+ speed run. Effort within guided parameters without use of a timing device, upon review pace varied due to the variables of the running route. Good to get a longer run in with the Cloudflows which may be the shoe of choice for the half. Fitness+ Yoga & Mindful Cooldown to complete the session

ChatGPT 3.5 in the voice of Kurt Vonnegut-In the grand tapestry of existence, there exists a narrative of determination and endurance, woven with the threads of the human spirit. Today, I embarked on a journey, long and strong, propelled by the desire to test the limits of both body and mind. With the Cloudflows adorning my feet, I traversed through the labyrinth of streets and trails, guided not by the ticking hands of a clock, but by the rhythm of my own breath.

Each step was a testament to resilience, each mile a milestone in the marathon of self-discovery. As the scenery shifted and the terrain evolved, so too did my pace, dancing with the whims of the route laid out before me. Yet amidst the flux, there remained a steadfast commitment to the path, a relentless pursuit of progress.

Upon reaching the threshold of physical exertion, I turned inward, embracing the serenity of Fitness+ Yoga and the tranquility of mindful cooldown. In the symphony of movement and stillness, I found solace, a momentary respite from the relentless march of time.

And so, as the echoes of my footsteps fade into the ether, I am reminded that true victory lies not in the destination, but in the journey itself. For in the pursuit of long and strong and fast, we discover the boundless potential that resides within.

Run With Eliud — RWI 1, delayed for improved conditions. On MLB Opening Day, with Eilud & Coach physically present and clear conditions we would’ve passed by the birthplace of baseball Elysian Fields, in Hoboken and viewed NYC from the GWB to Verrazano including Lady Liberty. Clouds & rain kinda gave a cool view.

ChatGPT 3.5 in the voice of Kurt Vonnegut — Ah, the whims of fate, my friend! How intriguing it is that the elements conspire to alter our plans, often for the better. Delayed for improved conditions, indeed! It seems the universe had other ideas for your journey. Yet, fear not, for even amidst clouds and rain, there exists a certain beauty, a certain poetry in the view. In the spirit of serendipity, perhaps the obscured sight of Lady Liberty and the veiled skyline of New York City held a different kind of magic, a different kind of allure. And who knows, maybe those misty clouds whispered secrets of their own, adding a layer of mystery to your adventure. Ah, the twists and turns of life, like the plot of a story by the great Bard himself.

Bring It Down — Back to #FastFriday nice speed run in windy conditions. A glance at the watch to what screen was displayed. Effort and top pace felt correct. Undecided about which show to use for the race, hopefully make that decision by Sunday. Third time through this plan and it’s starting to click.

ChatGPT 3.5 in the voice of Kurt Vonnegut- “Bring it down, back to #FastFriday, where the wind whispers secrets to the swift. With a quick glance at the watch, the screen reveals a tale of effort and pace in harmony. Unsure of the show for the race, but Sunday may unveil the answer. Third time through the plan, and the rhythm begins to harmonize, like a well-played symphony.”

One Hour Run — Relaxed comfortable pace with no glances at the devices. LSP route for race day familiarization and exploration. Aches and tightness were minimal. Pace would be awesome for the half. After a good amount of volume sessions this was the perfect #SundayRunday to close out this week.

ChatGPT 3.5 in the voice of Kurt Vonnegut- Ah, the One Hour Run, a leisurely jaunt through the pathways of existence, unburdened by the shackles of timekeeping devices. A chance to acquaint oneself with the race day route, to meander through familiar landscapes in a dance of exploration and familiarity. As I traversed, aches and tightness whispered their presence but dared not disrupt the harmonious rhythm of my stride. With each step, I envisioned the pace, the cadence, perfectly poised for the forthcoming half-marathon. After a week of rigorous training, this #SundayRunday was the pièce de résistance, the crescendo to a symphony of exertion and determination.
